ACH’s SVP of Policy & Government Affairs Stephanie Krenrich was featured in this Modern Healthcare article from Bridget Early. Krenrich discusses the proposed 340B reform bill introduced by Sen. Bill Cassidy.
A new legislative proposal introduced by Senator Bill Cassidy seeks to overhaul the 340B Drug Pricing Program. The draft bill would change key aspects of the safety net program, including the use of rebates or discounts, data reporting requirements, contract pharmacy parameters, key use definitions.
While ACH has long advocated for 340B reform around data transparency, Krenrich noted that the bill as written falls short of safeguarding the essential resources that health centers rely on to deliver care:
“Unfortunately, Sen. Cassidy’s proposal does not align with our core principles for reform. In a moment where health centers are facing unprecedented challenges, his proposal further weakens the country’s primary care safety net.”
