As a national organization representing Federally Qualified Health Centers, Advocates for Community Health urges the Senate to reject the One Big Beautiful Bill. Health centers serve as the national primary care infrastructure for more than 31 million Americans, but with the proposed cuts to Medicaid and projected coverage losses, this infrastructure will suffer significant harm. Health centers will have to reduce services, and other overburdened systems like emergency rooms will be forced to fill the gap. The rural provider fund helps but falls short of sustaining the providers that care for Medicaid patients and low-income individuals in every state.
We ask every Senator to imagine their state without a robust community health center network and consider the impacts on individuals and communities– and cast their vote “no” on the bill.
