At a time when the 340B program is under increasing pressure, Advocates for Community Health (ACH) is stepping forward to help guide the path ahead.

Last week, Advocates for Community Health (ACH) officially kicked off its 340B Learning Collaborative, bringing together health center 19 leaders from 15 states for a focused, solutions-driven effort to strengthen and sustain one of the most critical programs supporting community-based health care.

This marks ACH’s sixth Learning Collaborative, and it’s second focused on 340B, building on the success of prior convenings and reinforcing ACH’s continued leadership in supporting health centers through a rapidly evolving policy and operational environment.

Launched with the support of Equiscript, this multi-month collaborative will run from March through October 2026, creating space for health centers to share strategies, troubleshoot challenges, and learn from national experts navigating the rapidly evolving 340B landscape.

The Stakes Are Clear

340B plays a vital role in supporting community health centers and the patients they serve.

Through 340B savings, health centers are able to:

  • Keep doors open in underserved communities
  • Provide affordable medications to patients who would otherwise go without
  • Fund services that address the full spectrum of patient needs

And yet, the program is being steadily eroded.

Changes such as contract pharmacy restrictions, evolving rebate models, and barriers to accessing 340B pricing are creating new operational and financial challenges for health centers. These shifts are not just policy discussions; they are shaping how care is delivered every day.

This moment calls for thoughtful coordination, shared learning, and practical solutions.

From Conversation to Strategy

The collaborative kicked off on March 9, with a four-hour working session grounded in urgency and solutions.

Participants engaged in:

  • A candid round robin discussion highlighting current challenges and opportunities
  • Expert insights from national leaders in 340B policy and compliance
  • Real-world perspectives from health centers actively navigating these challenges

Featured speakers included:

  • Jason Reddish, Powers Law
  • Larry Rector, River Valley Health
  • Russell Heaton, Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic
  • Edward Kucher, Evara Health

Together, these conversations reinforced an important theme: health centers are strongest when they are informed, connected, and proactive in shaping the future of 340B.

A Model Built on Peer Learning

At its core, the 340B Learning Collaborative is not just about presentations—it’s about connection and shared problem-solving.

Each session is designed to be discussion-driven, allowing participants to:

  • Learn directly from peers facing similar challenges
  • Exchange tested strategies and lessons learned
  • Build a network of leaders committed to strengthening 340B programs nationwide

Moving Forward, Together

At a time when the 340B program faces both challenges and critical opportunities, ACH’s Learning Collaborative reflects a clear commitment: ensuring health centers are supported, connected, and well-positioned for what comes next.

By bringing together expertise, experience, and shared purpose, this collaborative is helping chart a stronger, more sustainable future for 340B, and for the communities health centers serve every day.

About ACH Learning Collaboratives

Learning Collaboratives are structured, time-bound cohorts that bring leaders together to accelerate improvement through expert guidance, peer sharing, and real-world testing. Instead of each health center innovating alone, participants gain access to collective experience, lessons learned, and practical tools they can implement right away. ACH offers complimentary member Learning Collaboratives annually on a rotating set of high-priority topics. Each series is designed to strengthen operational capacity, inform policy strategy, and advance innovation across the health center community. To learn more, contact us.
