Emerging Technology Learning Collaborative graphicHealth centers have long been at the forefront of patient engagement and creative delivery models to scale services for the most depth and breadth. While integrated patient record systems and data security have always been paramount to CHCs, recent emerging technologies like artificial intelligence are already transforming healthcare delivery. From large communities to small rural towns, health center leaders recognize that anticipating and leveraging technology is essential to meeting the demands of today and tomorrow.

That’s why, in collaboration with eClinicalWorks, ACH is accepting applications to join a dynamic, six-month Emerging Technologies Learning Collaborative (LC) focused on digital transformation in community health centers.

Designed for forward-thinking health center leaders, this collaborative brings together a select group of executives and innovators to explore how cutting-edge technology—from AI to cybersecurity—can strengthen primary care, reduce healthcare gaps, and strengthen financial performance.

What to Expect: A Hybrid, High-Impact Experience

The LC is structured to maximize learning, networking, and practical application without overwhelming busy executive calendars:

Face-to-Face Sessions

  • October 2025: LC kicks off with a half-day, in-person session at the Best Practices Showcase in Denver, CO.
  • March 2026: LC concludes in Washington, DC during our Annual Member Meeting.

Each in-person session will feature thought leaders in digital health, faculty from the ACH team and eClinicalWorks, as well as other emerging technologies leaders.

Virtual Sessions

  • Monthly, 60-minute online sessions run between October and March.
  • Deep-dive presentations focus on real-world challenges and tech opportunities in health centers.
  • Sessions include curated asynchronous materials and collaborative small-group exercises.

Topics That Matter to the CHC Mission

Throughout the LC, participants will engage with timely and relevant issues such as:

  • Artificial Intelligence in Primary Care: Understand where AI delivers results—like ambient listening to ease provider burden—and where caution is warranted, especially around privacy and patient trust.
  • Data & Population Health: Learn to effectively harness data to serve specialized populations and improve health outcomes.
  • Cybersecurity Infrastructure: Build resilience against threats by aligning your IT strategy with emerging security demands.
  • Value-Based Care Enablement: Discover how technology can drive success in value-based models and ensure your CHC stays ahead.
  • Policy Intelligence: Stay informed on federal shifts like UDS+ and learn how to proactively adapt your data strategies.
  • Peer Networking & Shared Solutions: Connect with a cohort of leaders to exchange insights, challenges, and successes.

Who Should Apply

This LC is ideal for CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, and other senior leaders committed to guiding their organizations through a technology-enabled transformation. The emphasis is on strategic thinking and implementation—not technical know-how.

Participation Requirements

Leaders selected for the collaborative must commit to:

  • Attending all in-person and virtual sessions
  • Engaging in individual and small-group work
  • Participating in evaluation and reporting activities

Ready to take the next step? Applications are due July 21st.
